After this classical guitar gems module, i have learnt how to identify and read guitar scores alot more quickly and effectively than i used to.
now when i am confronted with a guitar score, i am less intimidated and i take lesser time to access, understand and play the piece.

James Ang is a good classical teacher and he has taught us well.

learning how to play a classical guitar and reading guitar scores has opened up a wider range of chord voicings for me to explore.

as compared to electric guitar where i had to use a pick. the chord shapes were pretty limited as i had to strum all the strings or mute certain ones to obtain certain chord qualities.
with the classical guitar, there's a wider range of note choices for me to choose. and i'm really excited to see how much further i can incoporate this into my guitar playing.

one of my goals for joining this gems was to know how to read and play guitar scores.although i am piano trained,i did not know or was too lazy to find out how to apply this onto guitar and in the end i started learning my electric guitar by tabulature and ears.
i am glad mr. james introduced sight reading and score reading first thing in the beginning of the gems class.
i am picking it up pretty quickly and having a ball of a time.
cool...
