It has been few weeks since the last entries. I have to stop pratising guitar for 2 weeks cos there was an overseas competition.
And finally can continue learn canon in D.
I also learn from video i get from youtube, it helps me alot.

Decided that the other song piece is Canon in D, it is difficult as James said, but i believe that i can learn it in 1 1/2 month, keep practising everyday.

But.. i left my score on previous lesson. Anyone read my blog can send me the soft copy of canon in D it will be great thx.

Silver Bells 2008-06-17 23:09:41
I am force to cut my I and M finger due to playing basketball.
In the begining i find it sounds weird playing without the finger but now used to it although the sound not as clear as before.

This past 2 week i keep practising on silver bells at night and it distress me after doing school projects and upcoming mst.

I am still glad that i can get this gems although it need times to pratice but i enjoy it :)

Major and Minor Scale 2008-05-26 11:36:07
This week i learn how to play Major and Minor.
I realise that it is easier for me to play pratise the scale (4 finger) while bending my body to the guitar neck.

And also learn Silver Bells.
It sounds clear and nice by James, but when its my turn it turn out... -_-".
This song have the cres at F G C D where we have to play 1 fret (blured when come to play) higher when come to this 4 notes.

4th lesson 2008-05-15 09:38:48
i learn how to play 4th string (D,E,F) and finally a song but still can master it well hehe.

I get confuse when switching to other string. especially on 3rd cos its slighly different from 1st and 2nd string.

Somehow i come out with the idea practising from 5th string C D,E,F,G,A,B,C,D,E,F, until G the first string.
Keep reapeating it to familiar with this basic notes.

hope this method will help you or anyone have a better idea?

pardon me if i just realize on this week that a finger nail for a guitarist is very important hehe..

i found that is hard to pluck the strings when my nails is too long or not smooth enough.

during this week i have been practicing using a and p finger as we have learn C & G7 Chords that required p,m,i,a.

even though its more harder than previous lesson but it is now getting closer to play a song lol..

i learn how to tune the guitar, and 6 notes.

sometimes i got problem using alternating fingers (i and m). I tend to use i finger instead of m.

Is every song need to use alternating fingers to play?

I find it is difficult when i tried to pluck by using inner and middle for the first time. my I and M finger stuck between the string and not synchronize.

Strategy: practice 5~15min three~five times a day.

I am very lucky that i can get this module for my gems (only 2 seat for my batch hehe..)
It makes me excited whenever i starting to learn how to play music instrument.
While i am playing music, they will entertainment me and people around me.

Guitar is one of my favorite music instrument cos it can produce many kinds of sounds without any power supply so i can carry it around.
