Just in a blink of eye, here comes the last test, playing of my own piece.

I chose "Leyenda" by Isaac Albeniz as my piece. I feel peaceful everytime i listen to it. So, I hope I could also make other people peaceful when i played this to them.

This song is based on alternation of Rest and Free stroke between thumb and middle finger.I've been practising it for 2 weeks and yet, still not satisfy with my improvement. I'm targeting for 100% smoothness!

The very first test for this module is on coming 23rd! That's the MST week! Eek... Can't imagine how I will fare for it? ><

During the past 1 week of vacation, I couldn't focus on playing guitar as I was sick. Guess I'll have to double my effort to be ready for the test.

I intend to focus on Major, Minor scale more since I am quite weak in it. All the best !!!

Trying my best to catch up with everybody... 2008-05-11 02:25:47
OMG!!! I had to use all the string in play guitar in the last lesson... and that's just too hard for me. Frankly speaking, I am abit scared to attend the next class tmr.

Everybody seems like very pro in playing guitar. This module is the hardest one for this sem.

But, well...no looking back. I'll try my best to catch up with everybody. Now, I am practising playing for 1 or 2 hours everyday.

Oooo... my fingers hurt!!! 2008-04-28 10:32:50
We touch on sth new in the 3rd lesson. Learning to press guitar strings with left hand and pluck with the right! I find it quite tough to sychronise my 2 hands. Most of the time, I tend to pluck before pressing the string, making funny sound. XD

What's worse is that my left fingers, which are used to press the guitar string, hurt alot! Feeling like the skin has been torn apart. =( Hopefull, I can get used to it soon...

:: Introduction to Chords using solo strings :: 2008-04-28 10:25:49
I have been practising C & G7 Chords all this evening. Still, I cannot get the sound it should be. haizz...

These chords differ from normal notes as player has to pluck 3 strings at the same time instead of 1. That makes things very hard. Anyway, I believe I will cope with it if I practise more. Practise makes perfect, right ~~

I have always been wanting to play guitar on my own since I was a kid. 14th, April, 2008 is the day which my wish was fulfilled. With the help of my instructor MR.James Ang, I learnt the proper sitting posture and suitable nail length of guitarist. Besides, parts of guitar and different types of material to create one were also discovered. It's such a great fun to listen to the sound that my own hand created!!! Can't wait to attend the next lesson (=
