Okay, this is kind of late to be updating this but, YEAH i've finished my final test! i felt it went well after my 2nd try.. Well, theres nothing going to be on for me next monday so ima wrap this up. Thank you Mr James Ang for guiding us all through this amazing guitar GEMS.. Much appreciation goes to you. And thank you all for being a part of this class too.. weather we communicated at all, we sure did share the same experience. And henceforth, good luck for your semestral exams!

Tomorrow's the last piece test for guitar.. I hope i have practised enough.. I'm getting this very nerve-recking feeling again.. Better not screw up tommorow! Practise again! and again.. and again.

yeaps i had to because of a presentation thats right after the guitar class. i had to wear smart dress; therefore for me, its more preparation to be done. but i have definitely not put guitar at a lesser priority, i just had to skip this once. and of course, i will prepare for my next piece and give it my all. till next week's test!

Ok people! I'm done with my first exam piece! Just to recap, its the silverbells piece! It was very nerve recking at first because it would be my first time being graded by a teacher observing me play a song. My hands were trembling no joke! But soon the music i had all along started flowing through my fingertips and all was well.. I just have one more exam piece, which's my own to complete and we're done!!! A for guitar because we love music! ;)

Tests, Tests 2008-07-07 23:58:10
i have forgotten to update my part of this blog last week because i had lots of studying to do! As for this week, there is no excuse and hence here i am writing about this week and the 2 weeks before. I had taken my 1st two tests in the guitar GEM, and boy am i glad that it went well.. From sight reading to scale playing, i guess im happy with my performance so far. But i know i could play better.. Just in a matter of time though.. This GEM's getting more interesting every week! Now we have to play our own piece, and an exam piece.. i hope to be able to pull off this one.. A A A A A or DIST! ;P

MST and Tests! 2008-06-01 00:47:59
hmm.. Soon we're going to have our first test for our classical guitar lessons. If im not mistaken, its going to be sight reading. I'm sure it will be a big challenge for me as my fingers will tend to go faster than what i think? A very bad habit i guess. But sometimes, its put to good use =) Nevertheless, tests are tests. We have to correct mistakes so not to be repeated in the future.

Partial Chords/Plucking Patterns/Appreggios 2008-05-18 02:05:16
We learnt about the partial c and g7 chord.. At first i thought, y not put in the other note to form a full chord? Then when i start playing from the notes, notice the fingers to be used, i realised that forming a full chord would be redundant, as it would not be plucked at all.. Then we learnt on the symbol used to repeat the song for one more time before proceeding to the next bar. Plucking patterns are also known as appreggios, whereby i think it plays a certain rhythm and pace, to be repeated throughout or for at least a part or two.yea.. =)

Electric Guitar 2008-05-18 01:56:02
The electric guitar is one of the most complex equipments i have ever played. Actually the only one i have ever played =). Anyways after an evaluation from a guitar repair shop, i found out that my guitar have been suffering from a couple of problems. Neck of the guitar is found uneven, dead notes at the 17 fret, incorrect setting of intonation, improper pickup height..u name the problem, this guitar has it..so i decided to go for a full setup..though OMG it cost me $150, it sounded damn good after the fix..Next i realise what my electric is also lacking, which is an effects pedal..Not long after i got an efx pedal 2nd hand from my friend, the zoom g2 for $79..i was so happy then i realised i need another cable for input and output purpose..bla bla bla..all in all, i have spent a total of $245..its really taxing to maintain a guitar..
